As the Director of Finance at HIP, you will play a critical role in shaping the organization's financial future. This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial management. You will oversee all financial operations, ensure the company’s financial health, and drive initiatives that align with our business goals. Your expertise will guide the company in making informed financial decisions, optimizing resources and processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Create and oversee the budgeting process, providing accurate financial forecasts, and ensuring adherence to financial plans. Ensure the organization operates within the budget and adjustments are made to hit annual KPIs.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and year-ending basis to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee the accurate billing process, monitor delayed payments, conduct regular reviews of open balances, and ensure timely account credit reviews to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize financial risk.
- Payroll Management: Review and process regular payroll for salary and hourly employees.
- Commission Processing: Process monthly commission for all roles. Refine current auditing and processing SOPs.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to enhance financial efficiency without compromising quality.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage financial risks, including credit, market, operational, and compliance risks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with various departments, senior management, and external partners to support business growth and financial transparency.
- Vendor Management: Oversee and manage relationships with financial service providers, ensuring vendor agreements align with company objectives, deliver value, and maintain cost efficiency.
Note: This position will be an individual contributor with growth opportunities as the finance department is built.REQUIREMENTS
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that support business objectives.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling software. Experience with Quickbooks is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating financial risks.
